The ADOSAutism Diagnostic Observation Schedule will assess several different aspects of the child’s communication and play.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES
Evaluators assess child’s communication skill, social interaction, and imaginative use of materials.
DIAGNOSIS
A diagnosis of ASD now includes several conditions that used to be diagnosed separately.
Young children can wait months or even years for an assessment to diagnose ASD. That makes it difficult for them to access intensive early intervention services when they are most effective, ideally starting at around 24 months of age.
That is why it is very important to evaluate the child as soon as possible in order to start therapy in a timely manner
